This summer's tour, "Islands" is coming together nicely and I'm very happy to report that House Concerts are making up a huge part of it. House concerts are the absolute best way for me to get to know my fans and more importantly for my fans to have the opportunity to hear the music they have generously supported over the years. I have been incredibly fortunate to make a living doing the thing I love the most: writing and recording songs, and singing them all around the world. Now I would love to sing them for you in your living room, backyard, front-yard, garage or even your office.
I'll be flying home to Vancouver, BC for a few shows, then I'll start the tour in Chicago at the end of June and I'll make my way south to Miami. Below is my tentative tour map, so take a look and see if I'm going to be anywhere near you. I'm happy to reroute and adjust my trip to accomodate as many house concerts as possible, so even if you're not exactly on the route I may be able to make it. I'm planning on going whereever the music takes me.
An Important Note About Costs: You will be surprised how affordable a house concert can be. I work hard to keep the costs to a minimum, (that’s why I bring my own PA and lights) and of course, I live in my tour van when I’m on the road, but I do have to make some money. That said, pricing is pretty flexible and we will work with you to come up with a plan to fit your budget. Concert costs can be offset by "passing the hat" or asking for donations from the guests. Share the cost among your friends and it could become a “free” concert for you! If you can find a local venue that will book me for a show while I’m in town, that will bring the price down. I bring plenty of merchandise and CDs to sign for your friends before and after the show.
I'm very happy to present my newest music video AND one of my newest friends. I was performing in Cabarete when I first met him. He was walking down the beach selling little flowers to the tourists. When he heard my music he dropped everything and just started dancing with such great passion and a huge grin. Orlando and I have been friends ever since, and I think you'll agree that he is amazing in this video. "Dance Alone" is from my first studio release Sun Drenched. Please leave a comment on YouTube, and please share the video with your friends.
I'm looking forward to meeting you on the road this summer!
